You have a “Green Party” in Germany and I’ve read, it’s pretty popular. Does it mean, that the ecological topics are highly important and popular nowadays in Germany? Thank you.

Good morning. Yes, according to the goals of the German legislation, it is planned to generate up to 50% of the total energy from renewable sources by 2030.

The first steps could be to enhance the recycling of resources and using energy-saving devices.

Hello. Yes, they are. We put effort into trash segregation and waste management. Each household is segregating the trash (paper, plastic, glass – white, green, brown). We also have a deposit on plastic bottles and beverage cans. There are special machines in the store, where you give the bottles and cans back and receive your money back.

Hi. The "citizen's power industry" is gaining a lot of importance recently, as it can help to cut down significantly the electricity bills of consumers. It is expected that it will gain even more importance over the next years in Germany, as well as in other EU countries.

Yes, the organic food is getting more and more popular nowadays. A lot of people buy it, as they think it is healthier and at the same time is being produced more ecologically, without pesticides for example. The prices are a little bit higher than for non-organic food, however they are not so high, that only a small group of people could afford them.

Yes, especially, when we talk about the recycled paper or glass. A lot of companies use paper that came from the recycling process. Another example is glass: it can be used again or it is molten down and then used for the production of new bottles.

Hello. The pollution induced climate change is one of the biggest problems of our society. The plans are to replace “dirty” power plants by cleaner, renewable energy sources.
